We're currently planning our next meeting, planned for June 2012 -- once again, WPI has graciously volunteered to host us.  Final date and meeting details are being determined and will be posted once available.

Chapter Officer elections will take place at the June meeting.

And, we are currently seeking a host for our fall meeting.  If you're interested, please contact Joanna Gallant.

About βETA

The Bio-Pharmaceutical Education and Training Association (BETA) is a non-commercial and non-profit organization run by and for trainers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and related industries in the New England area. Our purpose is to provide a platform for the dissemination of information of interest to other trainers and for sharing of best practices among our group.

We typically hold meetings three times a year, which are generally held at member's companies who sponsor the meetings by providing space (and usually sponsor a light lunch) for the meetings. The speakers at our meetings are both local trainers who share their experience and wisdom with the group, and national level speakers who are occasionally asked to address the group.

There are NO membership dues to be a part of BETA. To become a BETA member, you must meet the membership requirements of the GMP TEA, and be willing to share your knowledge and experience with your peers. Training consultants and vendors are welcome at our meetings but are not voting members and may present to the group only by invitation of the BETA Chapter Officers.

In 2008, BETA joined the GMP TEA as their Boston Chapter, which provides BETA members access to expertise available from other industry training professionals from around the world and expands the development opportunities available to the members of the organization.  Additionally, many of our members actively participate in other organizations related to training and the pharmaceutical industry, including the PDA , ASTD, ASQ, and ISPE.
