GMP TEA History

Our Founding Fathers:

After the 211 regulations came out, a group of concerned trainers got together to discuss Good Manufacturing Practices in the fall of 1977.   The founding fathers were Tom Wilkin from Schering Plough, “O’Connor”, Rep from Smith, KIine and French, and Jim Wulfeck from MerrillThey would meet causally in hotels to begin sharing their ideas about how to teach GMP.   Dick Sands, from Merck joined them just a few months later.  Soon, they decided to enlarge their circle and in 1978, an ad calling for GMP Trainers was placed at the back of Pharmaceutical Technology.
