Announcing The New and Improved GMP TEA –

Your Invitation to be part of the Legacy

Missed the Disney Event of 2007?  That was only the beginning.  It’s not too late.  We took a bit of the TEA magic with us to remodel.  And now we’re ready for you to “come back home”.

We want you to be part of our legacy, part of the transformation into the future.  Together this organization will set the cGMP Training standards for the rest of the industry.  So why not be part of something big that makes a difference and leave a little bit of yourself behind for the next generation?

What’s Changed? Well for starters, we finally followed through with our own recommendations.  We are now legally a Non for Profit organization thanks to the determination and hard work of the new Board of Directors.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL! Check out the other changes:

STILL Undecided

Attend a chapter meeting and decide for yourself if you want a little bit of our TEA magic.  It’s contagious!  No meeting nearby and travel funds low – then contact one of these people for more information:

So why not be part of something big that makes a difference and leave a little bit of yourself behind for the next generation?

The By Laws have been revamped to reflect the changes occurring in our industry.  A few of the highlights: Our Mission now reflects Life Science Training and Behavioral Education individuals who want to collaborate and prepare the workforce of the future. There are three categories of Membership: Active, Inactive and Vendor/Consultant and includes Continuing Member for those Actives who are released from Member Organizations but wish to remain a part of GMP TEA.

Need to Activate your membership? Been a little absent lately?

That’s okay, we understand.  If you haven’t attended a Quarterly Meeting in the last 24 months, you need to re-active your membership and update your contact information.  Otherwise, Inactive members will be deleted from the database.

COMING SOON: OUR  Website Makeover!  Thanks to Mindy Buher (Eli Lilly) and Nancy Giard (Genzyme) for volunteering their time and sharing their expertise.   There will now be a Members Only section.  Curious?  You’ll need to be an Active Member to take a look.  Stay tuned for the Announcement.

COMMITTEES: What’s Old is New Again:

Committees are back.  For those members who were active in the early 1990s, they participated in sub-groups related to various member needs.  A few examples of their End Work-Product included the Executive Summary Briefs for “Faster Time to Market” co-authored by our FDA contacts and a series of GMP Training Videos: such as Last Exit From the GMP Zone; sponsored by Member Organizations.  These videos still surface every now and then but were sorely needed at the time. Expect great tools for sharing in the coming year.

GMP TEA Chapters were requested.  Seeing the successful re-start of the Mid-West Chapter, other regions want to keep the TEA magic going in between the conferences.  But start ups aren’t happening overnight.  It only takes two to get a dialogue going.  After all, the original TEA meetings took place in the lobbies of hotels with only 4 “concerned” trainers.  Don’t know how this whole legacy got started?  Check out Our History on the Website.

What did we keep

The big event; of course.  We all look forward to the Biennial Conference.  And 2007 conference was value-added to say the least.  Members are still talking about it.  Preparations and committees have already begun for our “Return to the Mouse in 2009”.  Check out 2007 Conference Newsletter on the Website.

And the Quarterly Meetings are still in place. With the start ups of other Chapters, the East Coast chapter has been renamed as the Mid-Atlantic Chapter.  Next meeting is April 11th, 2008 at ImClone in NJ.
